Dickie Redesign Competition

We are thrilled to announce our latest competition: the redesign of our beloved Loco Dickie!

Here’s how you can participate: Download the photo below.

  1. Get Creative: Colour in and design your own version of Loco Dickie. Let your imagination run wild and create something truly unique.
  2. Submit Your Design: Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, submit it for review. (Details on the sheet)
  3. Win and Celebrate: One lucky winner will be selected, and their design will be painted onto Loco Dickie.

The grand reveal will take place next year, and you, along with up to 4 of your family or friends, will be invited to join us for this exciting event.

This competition is extra special as it coincides with Pecorama’s 50th anniversary! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this milestone celebration.

The popular Andeer Line is back at Pecorama on Saturday 21st September 2024!
Based on the Bernina Line in Switzerland, the Andeer line gives visitors the opportunity to see and operate a HOm scale model railway as if they were drivers on the real thing.
Using smart phones and tablets you can take a train from St Moritz to Tirano, stopping at a number of stations on the way. Watch out for the signals though! (Don’t worry full instructions will be given).
Operators will be on hand to answer any questions concerning the great hobby of model railways! (Entry is included in your Pecorama Ticket price). Come and visit us in the Gallery Lecture Theatre amidst the gardens….

Halloween- October Half Term

October Half Term with some Halloween Fun!

During the Week we will have a Halloween Trail around the gardens, Can you help Winifred the Witch create her Laughing Potion?
She needs help collecting the right ingredients for her potion. What will you come across along the way?
The trail will be on during the day along with a daily fancy dress competition taking place at the top spot daily at 12pm. Certificates and trophies up for grabs daily.
Weekday times- Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 10-2, Thursday 10-2, Friday 10-4, Saturday 10-4

After last years sell out event, we now have 2 evening dates for you!
Evening Events taking place on Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October from 4-8pm

During our Evening events you will have a spooky ghost train ride, as the nights draw in the sun goes down and you can experience a train ride like no other, the gardens will be lit around the track with some Halloween decorations for you to spot along route. But that is not all you can hear the Signalman by Charles Dickens at 5pm or 7pm in the Gallery room, This story will be read by Lee Rawlings and will be about 35 minutes long.
At the Top Spot we will be having a fancy dress competition at 6pm, Wear or create your best spooky Halloween Costumes, Trophies and Certificates to be won for the Top 3!
We will have games and music along side some really tasty food in our Kiosks.
Tickets are £8 per person and you can book your train time slot from the 27th August.
(Train time is not your arrival time)
